While most GPS location/map apps for finding Pokemon Go were banned by Niantic, there are still some apps that you can grab as APK and enjoy the luxury of knowing which Pokemons are around you.
One of the better alternatives for that is PokeMesh, which basically displays all the Pokemons around you or you can also filter out by Pokemons that you are interested in.
This app runs in background mode, saving you a ton of battery while giving you notifications when nearby Pokemons are found. These maps are updated in “real-time” and are working around latest issue from Niantic to give you the best/exact locations.
What is an APK File?
APK File is a file/app that can be installed on any Android smartphone or tablet. Using an APK file, you can install Android apps manually on your Android device.
You do not need a rooted Android device to install APK files. For installation instructions, please see below.
If you haven’t tried this app yet, give it a test drive and do let us know what you think!
UPDATE: This is an older version, for latest version, see v4.1.0.
How to Install APK Files
You will need to make sure Unknown Sources is checked ON in Settings to install APK files. We do recommend you to use a file explorer app such as ES File Explorer, available on the Play Store for free, to install these apps.
