If you play a lot of Pokemon Go on your Android device and you want to save battery life, you will definitely want to try out the new PokeDetector app. This app will alert you (via vibration/sound) whenever there’s any Pokemon around without having your Pokemon Go app open. This app does not require root and you only need to sign in using your Google user id.
Now, I’ve actually tried this app personally while walking my dog and boy, it works really well. Instead of having Pokemon Go app open, you can simply use the PokeDetector app as it will alert you and even works with any Android Wear watches.
I know many of you are carrying an extra USB power bank or simply draining the battery of your phone unnecessarily, so definitely give the PokeDetector app a go this week(end) as it will allow you to enjoy Pokemon Go without the battery drain.
